Sevan Marine revealed it has been awarded a design study contract for the significant Rosebank discovery in the UK West of Shetlands region. Work will be carried out in the second half this year focusing on how one of the Sevan Marine round-hulled floating production platforms could be used to tap the Rosebank discovery. Hull sizing and configuration will be a key part of the work, along with topsides engineering, mooring design, plus motion stability and analysis.

Other areas of the study will include marine operations on a Sevan Marine hull at the Rosebank location, plus risk identification, and the provision of estimates for the cost and delivery scheduling of a Sevan Marine hull.
