In addition, they are subjected to highly demanding forces during their operational life. Wind turbine blade failures can have a severe impact on safety, turbine downtime and public exposure.
This event, dedicated solely to the topic of rotor blades, aims to widen the attendees´ knowledge of construction, production, fatigue and approval of rotor blades on the bases of rotor aerodynamics and the consequent static and dynamic stresses and strains. Modern techniques of structural health monitoring (SHM) and repairs, as well as legal provisions and experience regarding the recycling of fibre reinforced polymer (FRP) rotor blades, round off the conference.
