Brazil: Wellstream Awarded Major Contract by OGX

Wellstream, a leading manufacturer and supplier of flexible pipe systems and solutions to the offshore oil and gas industry announces the award from OGX Petroleo e Gas of a contract to supply flexible risers and flowlines mid-water arches, umbilicals and other associated equipment and services. Wellstream, a leading manufacturer and supplier of flexible pipe systems and solutions to the offshore oil and gas industry announces the award from OGX Petroleo e Gas of a contract to supply flexible risers and flowlines mid-water arches, umbilicals and other associated equipment and services.

The contract will be executed by Wellstream’s Brazil operations and the flexible flowlines and risers manufactured in Wellstream’s Niterói facility.

Luis Araujo, Executive Vice President for the Brazilian Operations says: “We are delighted to receive this award from OGX. Our engineering team has been working closely with OGX for some time to develop a robust full field development solution.”

Alasdair MacDonald, Acting CEO, said of the award: “We look forward to working closely with OGX on this exciting new development. Wellstream has a history of working closely with its key customers. Indeed, this award is a clear example of the success of the Groups strategy to offer the industry full SURF capability through collaborative and innovative working relationships. We look forward to working with OGX as the project moves into the manufacturing, development and offshore phases.”
