Spectrum ASA announced today the appointment of Richie Miller as President of Spectrum Geo Inc in Houston, Texas a 100% owned subsidiary. Spectrum CEO David Rowlands said,”Following an international search that commenced in the first quarter of 2010, we are pleased that Richie Miller has taken the position as of July 23rd.”
Richie brings with him a wealth of knowledge, gained from over 22 years experience within the seismic industry. He has joined Spectrum from CGGVeritas where he held the position of Director of Marketing & Business Development. During that time, he was responsible for developing the data library, identifying new opportunities and general business development of the US and South American libraries. His other positions with ther global companies included Marine Acquisition Manager,Senior Geophysicist and Director of Geology & Geophysics.

Spectrum ASA regrets to announce that Charles Harmer, Executive Vice-President of Multi-Client has left the group to pursue other interests. Spectrum is committed to the ongoing development of its Multi Client business and continues the search for high quality individuals around the globe to strengthen the division.

The Houston office was opened in January, 1988 and offers a similar portfolio of services to the London branch office which include seismic data processing, multi-client services and offshore acquisition. The office began with just a few staff members and currently has about 50 members on staff. The strong expertise and experience of its geophysicists and other technical staff, like everywhere else in the group, is replicated in the Houston team. It looks after the company’s business throughout the Americas and Australasia.
