The Company has approved the promotion of Mr. James McGhee Nicol to General Manager of Mermaid Drilling Ltd. after taking into consideration, inter alia, his past performance, qualifications, competencies and extensive working experience in the offshore oil and gas drilling services industry.
This is an executive appointment.
His area of responsibility is to manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the offshore drilling services business of the Company including providing leadership and direction to ensure that the activities and focus of the operations teams offshore and onshore are effectively managed and co-ordinated.
Mermaid is a leading provider of drilling and sub-sea engineering services for the offshore oil and gas industry. Over the last six years they have grown significantly in these areas. The Company’s sub-sea engineering division service clients in South East Asia, India, China, Sakhlin, the North Sea, the Middle East and South America. Drilling division has two tender rigs in operation, one performing drilling services in Indonesia and the other providing accommodation barge services in the Middle East. Mermaid Maritime’s mission is to deliver a world class service to the region from within the region.
