Nordic LNG has signed a supply agreement with Gyproc AS in Fredrikstad for supply of natural gas from the LNG terminal currently under construction in the Øra industrial area .

Supply will start as soon as the LNG-terminal has been completed, expected mid 2011. Gyproc is part of the Saint-Gobain group and develops, manufactures and markets systems for light building construction with plasterboard for the construction industry.

The plant is strategically based outside Fredrikstad and was opened in1990. The yearly consumption of natural gas equals some 76 GWh, which will be used in the drying process of the production.

“We are very satisfied to have secured the first pipeline customer directly connected to our Øra terminal”, says Peter Blomberg, Managing Director of Nordic LNG, “and we look forward to a successful cooperation with Gyproc over the coming years.”
