Dril-Quip, Inc.today announced that it has been awarded a contract valued at approximately $27 million by Shell Offshore Inc. to supply drilling and production equipment for the Olympus Tension Leg Platform (TLP) to be installed in the Mars field located in the Mississippi Canyon area of the Gulf of Mexico.
The Olympus TLP is part of the Mars B Project.
Dril-Quip will provide subsea wellhead equipment, production riser tieback connectors and drilling riser components for the Olympus TLP.
Dril-Quip is a leading manufacturer of highly engineered offshore drilling and production equipment which is well suited for use in deepwater, harsh environment and severe service applications.
