SeaZone, the market leader for marine geographic information, software and services, will be presenting their latest developments for the renewable energy sector at RenewableUK 2010 in Glasgow on 2 to 4 November 2010.

SeaZone will be sharing Stand 325 with its new parent company HR Wallingford. Both companies have longstanding involvement with offshore renewable energy sector organisations and together offer a wide range of expertise, products and services.

“RenewableUK is an essential event to visit in the renewable energy calendar and will enable us to build on existing relationships and forge new ones,” commented Alison Smith, Marketing Manager at SeaZone. “Both SeaZone and HR Wallingford are looking forward to demonstrating the benefits of our products and services to the energy sector.”

SeaZone supports many organisations involved in the renewable energy sector through supply of its SeaZone data products such as HydroSpatial and Digital Survey Bathymetry and are used by Moray Offshore Renewables, Forewind, Mainstream Renewable Power, Scottish Power Renewables, E.ON Climate and Renewables and RWE npower renewable, all working on Round 3 offshore wind farm developments in the UK.

Other clients include those involved in wave and tidal energy projects such as Renewable Energy Systems Ltd and Marine Current Turbines. In addition SeaZone supplies to many associated consultants, including Natural Power Consultants, RPS and PMSS.

Easy and efficient access, understanding, use, re-use, dissemination and management of appropriate data and information are critical to these organisations. These brings new challenges including overcoming existing work practices and culture, dealing with the increasing complexity and specialist nature of marine data, understanding and adopting new standards and processes, providing appropriate expertise and resources.

SeaZone DataCentre offers a ‘one stop’ solution, tailored to meet individual organisation’s business objectives and deliver an effective and efficient bespoke data management system.
