Barge Terminal Born (BTB) is to increase its capacity to 300,000 TEU a year. On 16 November, owner Waalhaven Group signed a rental agreement with the municipality of Sittard-Geleen for the use of new port facilities in the port area near Born. The terminal currently has a capacity of 125,000 TEU. This volume will increase in the coming years to at least 250,000 TEU. The terminal serves Limburg and parts of Belgium and Germany.
