Brazil: BP’s Chairman, Bob Dudley, Visits Petrobras Headquarters

Petrobras President Jose Sergio Gabrielli de Azevedo, received on Tuesday afternoon (24/11) the chairman of BP, Robert Dudley, at company headquarters in Rio de Janeiro.

During the meeting the two presidents talked about the current oil industry in Brazil and abroad and the activities of both companies. President Gabrielli said that Petrobras and BP are discussing new areas of cooperation and alliances. “We expect this partnership to step up even more,” he said. The chairman of BP, Robert Dudley, said that “BP and Petrobras has a long history of partnerships in Brazil and abroad, including a technological cooperation agreement in the exploration & production. This visit will aim to strengthen relations between the two companies, world leaders in oil exploration in deep waters. Executive Vice President of BP Exploration, Mike Daly, and Director of Exploration and Production, Petrobras, Guilherme Estrella also attended the meeting . The two executives shared information about the activities of oil exploration and opportunities for cooperation between the two companies.
