Malaysian company ‘Maritime and Dredging Corporation’ has offered the lowest price of Tk 2.30 billion in the tender for the ‘capital dredging’ project in the port city.
Four construction companies dropped tender for the project which were received at the Port Building until 2pm on Wednesday. Some 12 companies were initially selected for the bidding but 11 of them bought the forms.
The port authorities said the ‘Banga Dredging and Messer Rafique Construction’ made the second lowest bid at Tk 3.44 billion. China Harbour and Engineering Company proposed Tk 4.99 billion and Sino Hydro Corporation Limited Tk 6.14 billion.
