V & M TWO, LLC, of Youngstown, Ohio has awarded Aker Construction, Inc., a subsidiary of Aker Solutions, a contract for the construction of a pipe mill process building in Ohio, US. The contract for fabrication, supply and installation of materials to erect the building commences immediately. Contract value is undisclosed.

“Aker Solutions is very pleased with the award of this contract. We have exceptional construction experience across a range of industries in the US and the award of this latest project is a reflection of the strong capability we possess in the team,” said Steve Harker, Vice President and General Manager, Aker Construction, Inc.

The project is located adjacent to the V & M Star L.P.’s operations in Youngstown, Ohio. V&M officially broke ground on the new mill in late July, and plans for the new mill to be operational within approximately 18 months.
