Britain’s BG Group has reported a gas find with its first deepwater well drilled offshore China. Drilling south of Hainan Island in the Qiongdongnan Basin in the South China Sea, BG said it has hit gas-bearing sands in block 64/11 with the Lingshui 22-1-1 well.
