The Frost & Sullivan Company of the Year Award is given to the company that has created the maximum impact in its industry in terms of revenue growth, market share growth, major customer acquisitions, extensive range of products and solutions, and leadership in product innovation in the year of study. The recipient is also required to have demonstrated utilizing business and market strategies successfully to be a leader in its respective industry.

Sean Sutton, President of Vestas Asia Pacific: “I am delighted and honoured with this accolade for Vestas Asia Pacific to be recognized as the Asia Pacific Energy Renewable company of the year. This award really goes out to the employees of Asia Pacific who have contributed to our successes here this year and more importantly have kept to our plan and put in the work needed for sustainable success in the future. It is a great pleasure to receive the award on behalf of my colleagues in Asia Pacific.”

To choose the recipient of this award, the Frost & Sullivan analyst team tracks all companies in the distributed power generation market and benchmarks them with respect to the criteria for evaluation. The evaluation criteria include Market share and Market share growth, Revenue growth, Strategic and profitable partnerships/alliances, Market reach and presence, business and marketing strategies, Innovation and product integration. The selection process includes interviewing market participants and extensive primary and secondary research. The data obtained is then compared and ranked for determining relative positions, and the company that secures the highest rating in terms of the criteria established, is awarded the number one industry ranking.

Amit Kansal, Vice President, Marketing & Customer Insight: “The award clearly recognizes our leadership in the renewable energy space in Asia Pacific. Asia Pacific is a critical geography for Vestas and execution of the growth strategy in this region is key to the overall Vestas success. The introduction of new products like V100 and V112 wind turbines enables us to cater solutions specific to the region and thus making sure that our customers have better business case certainty.”
