The Crown Estate, Envirolink Northwest and The Mersey Partnership are co-hosting a free event for companies interested in the North West and North Wales offshore wind market.

The Mersey Partnership estimates the next round of Irish Sea Zone wind farm development could be worth £15bn to the Liverpool city region economy.

The event takes place on 8 February 2011 from 8.30am to 5pm at The Floral Pavilion, New Brighton.

Meanwhile, Envirolink Northwest has secured funding from the Northern Way to produce an online directory of suppliers to the offshore wind industry across Northern England. The directory will enable Envirolink Northwest to support Tier 1 and Tier 2 companies to identify potential suppliers.
