Northern Petroleum has successfully tested its UK Markwells Wood oil field and flowed oil to the surface. Northern said a core sample has been recovered from the Markwells Wood 1 well which flowed oil to the surface, after the well was drilled to a dept of 4,584 feet (1397 metres) sub-sea. Northern indicated it would issue a further comment on the well one logging has been completed.
