Norse Energy Corp has acquired a second rig to speed up its Herkimer drilling programme in the US. The Herkimer fields is estimated to hold up to 90 mmboe of natural gas. Oslo-listed NEC has aquired an option to use the services of a second Speedstar 185 drilling rig to speed up the Herkimer development. This rig is expected to begin operations in the spring of 2011.
