Odense newbuilding moves to Korsør

Odense Steel Shipyard has been forced to move its surplus newbuilding to a lay-up berth at Korsør on the isle of Sjælland. The newbuilding – hull no. 222 – has been ready for delivery since September, but so far no buyer has yet purchased the vessel to a weak marked for ro-ro tonnage. The vessel is owned by Odense Steel Shipyard since the original buyer, a Hong Kong based investment company, bailed out earlier this year as a consequence the market.
