Iran Discovers New Gas Field Worth $50 Billion

A new gas field worth more than 50 billion dollars has been discovered in the southern part of the country, Iranian Oil Minister, Dr. Mirkazemi announced here.

According to the report of the public relations of the NIGC, he said that this new gas field, namely ‘Khayyam’ with reserves of 260 billion cubic meters of natural gas and 220 million barrels of gas condensate discovered in eastern part of Assaluyeh.

He went on to say that, there is possibility to extract 210 billion cubic meters of gas reserves as well as 100 million barrels of gas condensates by drilling 18 to 21 wells.
