For the first time in twenty years, SOCAR has started developing Umid prospective structure by its own resources. Oilmen are supplied with all necessary conditions for favorable working and living conditions at Umid-1 platform installed at the field.
Autonomous power station at the platform provides all production facilities with continuous electric power supply. Water-purification plant with 8 cubic meters water cleaning capacity per minute provides water demand of oilmen.
The platform is equipped with three water tanks each with 50 tons of capacity. Helipad and terminals operate at the highest level. Favorable conditions are created at two three-story living blocs, each supposed for accommodation of 52 people.
Each room at the first block is provided with furniture, refrigerator, TV, air-conditioner, phone, shower-room, and other facilities. The second block is equipped with radio-communication units, social rooms, gym, 30-person dining room, bakery, laundry, as well as warehouse. The oilmen also benefit from broadband. Drilling works at the platform are conducted by computer-aided drilling rig. The plant with cutting-edge technology enables safe and speedy drilling.
The oilmen are provided with individual protective clothing obtain necessary daily instructions. Three boats each with 40 places and four floats each with 10 places were connected to the platform that enables safe delivery of oilmen to the coast in case of emergencies. Besides, the representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations control the area. Umid platform fully meets international standards.
