January 10th and 14TH 2011, DNV issued three separate Certificates of Fitness For Service: one for the OCT system itself, one for the Cryodyn flexible pipe and one for the QCDC assembly.
We are pleased to inform that DNV on January 10th and 14TH 2011 issued three separate Certificates of Fitness For Service: one for the OCT system itself, one for the Cryodyn flexible pipe and one for the QCDC assembly. This approval is a major milestone in the development of a tandem transfer solution. The approvals are based on the EN1474 codes and give us strong belief in the suitability and performance of the tandem based OCT system.
The results from the testing of the flexible Cryodyn pipe have been very convincing. All tests have been successfully performed without remarks. Not only did the tests run perfectly – we also exceeded one of the fatigue tests by increasing the required 400 000 bending cycles to 1000 000 cycles without problem!
By this achievement Framo Engineering have met our promise to the FLNG industry: to have the tandem transfer system ready in time for the coming FLNG market.
The development of the OCT system is a joint venture between five expert companies: Framo Engineering, Nexans, Aker Pusnes, MIB and Seaflex.
