Appointment in line with company’s aggressive growth strategy
UAE-based MIS Group (Maritime Industrial Services), a diversified engineering and contracting group focused on the energy sector, announces the appointment of Colin Anthony Jones as its new Group Sales Director, a move bolstering the company’s senior business development and sales team in line with its strategy for profitable growth.
Mr. Jones, with over 30 years’ experience in the engineering, contracting and oil & gas sectors, will be responsible for expanding MIS’ customer base in its growth-focused value streams and establishing relationships with clients in the company’s new markets.
Mr. Jones’ extensive experience was gained in a variety of functions within the oil and gas sector including commercial management, contractual finance, resource management and business development, culminating with his most recent position as Director, Commercial and Business Development at Mack Project Engineering Group in Switzerland. Prior to that, he spent 15 years at Lamprell PLC where he was Executive Vice President initially developing the commercial division and, in the latter years, the identification of new markets and new business opportunities including their rig new build programme.

Mr. Jones holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Building Economics from Southbank University in the UK and is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), the Association of Cost Engineers (ACostE) and of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb).
