Iran is the best and safest route for gas transmission to Europe, managing director of gas transmission company, Mr. Almasi announced here.

According to the report of the public relations of the NIGC, he said that considering Europe’s need of some 160 billion cubic meters of gas in 2030, Iran is the best option to meet Europe’s gas needs.

By stating that Caspian Sea is another option for gas transmission to Europe for other countries, Iran is the best and beneficial source for Europeans.

He said that Europeans now procure more than 15 billion cubic meters of their gas needs from the Middle East, thus they will be in need of a reliable source of energy in future.

Noting that there is more than 50 trillion cubic meters of gas resources in the Persian Gulf, he said that Iran is the biggest owner of gas resources in the Middle East, while it is the fourth in the world after the US, Canada, and Russia.
