IEF Ministerial Meeting to Finalize New Statute (Saudi Arabia)

Ministerial meeting of the International Energy Forum (IEF) will be held in Riyadh Saudi Arabia on 22 February 2011 to ratify new statute.

According to the report of the public relations of the NIGC, the meeting aims not only to revise current statute in order to adapt with new changes but also plans to draft a new charter.

To this end, an ad hoc committee was established providing the framework for discussion on this issue in Riyadh in December 2010.

It’s worth mentioning that the final version was sent to IEF members for confirmation and those countries which ratify the final version of the chapter were invited to ministerial meeting of the IEF in Riyadh.

According to this report, the main role of convention is interaction of oil and gas supply and demand.
