Maersk Oil and its partner OGX have reported a new shallow water oil find offshore Brazil in the Campos Basin region. Today Maersk said the BM C 37 Carambola B exploration well encountered up to 17 metres (55 feet) of pay in an Albian carbonate reservoir. Extensive logging of the find was carried out which included coring and pressure measurements and hydrocarbon samples were obtained.
