Leading international oilfield service company Expro announces today that it has secured a new subsea contract in the UK.

TAQA Bratani has awarded Expro with a 12-month subsea contract in the North Sea.

The contract will see Expro provide TAQA with large bore landing strings for their 2011 work scope, which includes the Falcon development, TAQA’s first new field development in the UK.

Expro’s market-leading subsea safety systems provide reliable and efficient in-riser landing strings for well interventions and completions. The range of systems is specifically developed to minimise risk and achieve secure well status in the event of an emergency.

Expro’s UK area manager, Neil Sims, said: “This contract further enhances our order backlog in the UKCS region. We are proud to be associated with TAQA and look forward to working on the new Falcon development.”
