Operations at Statoil’s Sleipner A platform were temporarily recently following a suspected gas leak on the facility, the operator said in a report to Norway’s Petroleum Safety Authority. The alarm was triggered on the platform, located in Block 15/9, after by three linear gas detectors indicated a leak in one of the turbine hoods at 11:10pm on 16 February. Off-duty personnel were mustered as a result of the alarm.
