For the first time in its history, Gastech, (21-24 March) will play host to a Russian National Seminar. The seminar examines the development prospects for the energy market in Russia and the activities of Russian oil companies abroad.
Leading Russian gas companies will attend and present new projects and prospects for the development of gas resources, the use of innovative technologies in the field of gas exploration and examine the facilities for industrial and environmental safety.
Russia’s extensive natural gas reserves secure its critical role in the world’s energy market. A fact brought into sharp focus by the current unrest within North Africa and the Middle East and the increasing reliance of European countries on gas exports from Russia.
Representatives of The Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, Gazprom, and other influential companies will present at the seminar.
The Russian National Seminar, free to all Gastech participants and visitors, will take place on Tuesday, 22 March 2011 from 11.00 to 14.00 in Meeting Room G109.
The operator of the Russian National Seminar is RESTEC Exhibition Company (stand A159). Speakers will include: Grigory VYGON, Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, Director of Economy and Finance Department; Valery GOLUBEV, Gazprom, Deputy Chairman of the Management Committee; and Alexander SHEVTSOV, Kosmos-Neft-Gas, General Director.
Presentation topics will address “ Economic incentives for utilisation of associated petroleum gas ”, “ Development of gas fields of the Russian Arctic continental shelf ,” and “ Activities of Kosmos-Neft-Gas at the Russian market of production, transportation and refinement of natural gas .”
Gastech 2011 is a premier event in the global gas calendar and serves the entire spectrum of the upstream, midstream and downstream gas sectors. The conference and exhibition, held 21-24 March at the RAI, Amsterdam, and hosted by Shell, will feature a ministerial address and a powerful opening leadership panel debate.
