The demanding role of Chief Financial Officer at AGR Drilling Services has been taken on by Rune M. Daae, who brings a wealth of experience to the position.

Rune (pictured) has a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Accounting and Auditing from the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration – Norges Handelshøyskole.

He has a strong professional background within the finance sector, with 16 years’ experience in financial auditing. Rune’s previous position was as a financial auditor at Ernst & Young, where he managed many global accounts.

Now the married father-of-three from Bergen will be leading the financial department at AGR Drilling Services – the Norwegian supplier of equipment and services for drilling, well operations and underwater trenching and excavation to the global offshore industry.

A delighted Johan Møller Warmedal, Executive Vice President at AGR DS, said from company headquarters in Straume: “I am very excited to have such an experienced, energetic and positive professional on our team. Rune’s background and skills are important assets for our ongoing efforts to further develop a quality-focused and efficient organization; one that is equipped to take on significant projected growth as our solutions within well construction gain worldwide acceptance.”

Rune comes to AGR DS at a busy time – the firm, which also has offices in the USA, UK, Azerbaijan, Brazil and Australia, has recently secured major contracts with BP in the Caspian Sea and Shell on the Ormen Lange field, among others.
