IHC Fundex Equipment, part of IHC Merwede, has acquired Vermeer MT’s full range of products and services. Through this acquisition on 4 March 2011, the company has considerably enhanced its delivery programme in the field of compact hydraulic foundation machines. It is also in a better position to respond to the increasing national and international demand for piling and drilling machines. Furthermore, the acquisition addresses two of IHC Merwede’s strategic goals – internationalisation and growth.

Growth

IHC Fundex Equipment develops, manufactures and supplies hydraulic foundation machines, while Vermeer MT’s products are mainly used in situations where height or accessibility are limited. By integrating Vermeer MT’s full product range and service programme, IHC Fundex Equipment is expecting to realise a future 20 per cent growth in turnover.

Huge step

The knowledge and expertise of IHC Fundex Equipment combined with the expanded product line-up, will enable it to take a huge step forward. Most of the machines can be redesigned, from a standard piling machine to a drilling machine. This equipment is the future, within both national and international markets. In addition to the proactive marketing of the Vermeer range in the Dutch market, new international customers will be sought from within IHC Fundex Equipment’s contact base.
