Seeing a distinctive shift in market conditions, Höegh LNG has decided to establish the subsidiary Höegh LNG Asia Pte. Ltd. and open an office in Singapore.
The presence in Singapore will allow the company to stay closer to current and prospective customers in the Asian region, and be better able to serve the many business opportunities there. The Singapore office will initially be staffed with experienced personnel from other parts of the company, with a view to employ local staff and regional representatives as the need arises.
Says Chief Executive Officer and President of Höegh LNG, Mr. Sveinung Støhle: “ Höegh LNG Asia has been set up to increase the ability to successfully win new business for regasification terminals, traditional LNG transportation and FPSO projects in the Asian region. Working together with our partners and customers in this important region we hope to increase our ability to serve the growing demand for the services we offer to the market. There is strong economic growth in Asia, and stable and secure energy supply is an important element in sustaining the growth. We are currently pursuing a number of floating regas and floating production projects in the region, of which one is in the tender stage, and we are very hopeful of a successful outcome for at least one of the projects this year. ”

Höegh LNG is a fully integrated ship-owning company offering long-term floating production, transportation, re-gasification and terminal solutions for Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG). The company operates a fleet of seven LNG carriers including two innovative Shuttle and Re-gasification Vessels (SRVs).
