Reacting to questions on the deployment of Ekulo Cheyenne to OML 123, the Chairman of Kaztec Engineering Limited Sir Emeka Offor said that ‘the acquisition of Ekulo Cheyenne is in line with the growth strategy of Kaztec Engineering Limited. We are at the vanguard of the Nigerian Government Policy for ‘local content’ in the oil and gas industry. The fact that Kaztec Engineering Limited was chosen to handle this contract, is an eloquent testimony of the trust and confidence that Addax Petroleum Development Limited management have in Kaztec Engineering Limited especially, and local EPCs generally’.

Explaining the company’s interest and commercial diversity of Ekulo Cheyenne, the Chief Operating Officer, Kaztec Engineering Limited, Ike Okpala said that ‘ apart from using the barge for projects like the one it is involved in at the moment for Addax Petroleum Development Limited, Ekulo Cheyenne is also available for hire to any company that may need its services.’
