Britain’s offshore industry has been boosted by a further discovery in the Catcher development area by the Burgman exploration well which has found more oil. Operator EnCore Oil reported that the Central North Sea 28/9-4 Burgman exploration well has hit hydrocarbons and an immediate sidetrack is being drilled to further prove up the find, which was drilled by the Transocean Galaxy II jackup.
