Neuenfelder Maschinenfabrik GmbH (NMF) has a new management team: Ralf Ressel (CEO) and Goran Curic (COO) are now in charge as managing directors. Karl-Heinz Heck, previously responsible for Sales and Service, has left the management team with immediate effect. NMF’s partner, J.J. Sietas KG Schiffswerft GmbH & Co., asks for understanding for not publishing the reasons for Mr Heck’s departure.

Also effective immediately, Ralf Nicolaisen, who was previously responsible for establishing business for NMF in new markets, is responsible to lead the global sales team.

The new management team draws on wide-ranging experience in the crane and industrial production sector. Ralf Ressel has come to NMF directly from the crane industry. In his previous position he served as Director of Research & Development at Terex-Demag GmbH, one of the world’s largest producers of mobile cranes with capacities ranging from 30 to 3,200 tonnes. In addition to his role as CEO, he will also devote special attention to the areas of sales, service, engineering and order processing.

Goran Curic is responsible for production and supply chain management. Besides his extensive experience in the area of production optimisation towards streamlined and efficient processes, he can look back on global production responsibility at companies such as Siemens, Daimler and Lean Coaching (USA).

With the new management team, NMF is well-equipped to meet the expanded strategic goals that the company has set for itself for the years to come. In addition to securing its position in the heavy cargo market, plans will primarily focus on an offensive targeting of new markets, new products and new services. With an initial order for a 900-tonne offshore wind power crane in collaboration with the Sietas shipyard, NMF has begun its entry into the offshore market. Furthermore, the company has the clear objective of expanding NMF’s position as a quality supplier on the crane market and becoming a benchmark for the production of cranes to industrial standards.

Company profile

Hamburg-based Neuenfelder Maschinenfabrik GmbH (NMF) has produced cranes and hydraulic systems for four decades. Today it is a global leader in the production of deck cranes with an emphasis on heavy-duty cranes. From the project phase to design, production and global service, NMF provides its customers with unique services from a single source in all product groups. The company’s own production and processing guarantees that our customers’ operations, maintenance and repair concerns are handled quickly and in the highest quality. NMF set a globally recognized impressive milestone in 2010: Continuous product development in collaboration with our customers led to the successful delivery of two 1,000-tonne SWL crane ship sets.
