Viktor Lenac has completed the conversion and repair of the crane-pipe laying vessel “Seminole“, owned by Italy’s Subsea Oil Services (part of Micoperi Srl from Ravenna).

The shipyard built and outfitted a complete new superstructure weighing some 450 tons, including accommodations for 250 crew members, based on design and workshop drawings produced by the shipyard’s design team. The conversion project included extensive repairs and hull renewal reaching a total value of 16 million euros.

Seminole was the fifth in a number of Micoperi’s vessels repaired in the shipyard during the project (pipelay crane barge Micoperi 30, crane barge Micoperi 12, tug Snipe and cargo barge Micourier I). Successful cooperation between Viktor Lenac and Micoperi continues with two new contracts (Bucaneer and Micourier II).

Seminole is going to be presented at the Offshore Mediterranean Conference held in Ravenna from 23 to 25 March.
