Russia: Gazprom Plans RUB 250 Million Investment for Novgorod Oblast Gasification

The Gazprom headquarters hosted today a working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Company’s Management Committee and Sergey Mitin, Governor of the Novgorod Oblast.

The parties discussed gasification of the Oblast. In particular, this year Gazprom has started constructing the Borovichi GDS – Lyubytino inter-settlement gas pipeline over 70 kilometers long, and has nearly completed preparations for the Novgorod-2 GDS – Khutyn inter-settlement gas pipeline construction.

In addition, the Company allocated funds to design another two gas pipelines in the Oblast. In 2011 Gazprom is to invest a total of RUB 250 million (USD 8.80 million) in the regional gasification.

Alexey Miller and Sergey Mitin also considered gasification of the Novgorod Oblast in 2012.
