Complying with its obligation vis a vis the lenders of a 2.8billion dollar loan made in 2008, Yemen LNG started on January 1st the 180 day test of the upstream facilities.
After one quarter of successful testing of the upstream, Yemen LNG started on April 1st the LNG Performance Reliability Test (LNG PRT) of the Balhaf plant. The objective of the tests is to demonstrate the reliability of the LNG chain at nominal rate of production in routine mode.
An average availability in the LNG industry is around 92%. Yemen LNG achieved 100% in 1st quarter 2011.
