Yemen LNG Signs Land Compensation Agreement

Yemen LNG signed on 3rd April Land Compensation Settlement with the Ministry of Oil and Mineral Resources and the Governorate of Shabwa to compensate land owners in Balhaf area pursuant to the Council of Ministers Resolution No. 476.

The Agreement was signed by Francois Rafin, General Manager, Abdulmalik Alama, Deputy Minister and Dr. Ali Al Ahmadi, Governor respectively.

3500 landowners from the Balhaf area will receive YER 700 million from Yemen LNG in final compensation for their land. Compensation shall be distributed by the Governorate through the Post Office.

General Manager, Francois Rafin , said “ This is a happy day for the landowners as it concludes a long process. Thousands of families will benefit from this compensation; it will give a boost to the Shabwa communities ”.
