Nordic LNG has signed a long term supply agreement with Dynea AS.

Dynea is a global leader in providing high performance adhesion and surfacing solutions for panel boards, engineered and interior wood products, paper impregnation and much more. Dynea is currently rebuilding two large steam boilers to be converted from oil to natural gas. These boilers will be operational using natural gas from Nordic LNG as from the summer 2011.

Nordic LNG manages the building process for the LNG receiving terminal at Dyneas premises in Lillestrøm outside Oslo. The Liquified Naturals Gas (LNG) will be distributed from Nordic LNGs terminal located in Fredrikstad operational as from the summer 2011

It has been an exciting process up to the agreement was signed says Dyneas Manager of Operations, Mr. Svein Brokke and continues, we are very satisfied with finally having secured this agreement with Nordic LNG enabling us to use natural gas for our boilers.

“ Dynea will reduce their CO2 emissions with some 6000 ton per year and NOx emissions with some 25 ton per year by changing from oil to natural gas usage in the boilers. Another positive effect by changing to natural gas is that the sulphur and particle emissions practically disappear. Dynea is committed to reduce their impact on the environment from the production in Lillestrøm – they are depending on fossil fuel for the boilers and this is why they’ve chosen the cleanest alternative; natural gas .”
