Dolphin Geophysical Appoints Ian Edwards as Vice President Multi-Client EAME (Norway)

Dolphin Geophysical announced that Ian Edwards has been named Vice President Multi-Client EAME.

Ian, reporting to Tim Wells, will manage the Design, Marketing and Sales of Multi-Client 2D and 3D seismic surveys, in the EAME region initially. Ian brings a wealth of knowledge from the oil and gas industry, with a career that has spanned over 40 years. He started his career in 1970 with Philips Petroleum. In 1982 he became one of the initial team of JEBCO Seismic Ltd which was followed in 1992 by his move to Digicon Geophysical where he was responsible for starting the Data Library and Geological Services departments for EAME Division. Throughout Ian’s time with Digicon/Veritas and finally CGGVeritas in 2010, he held various senior positions with his last role as Senior Vice President Data Library EAME and Global New Ventures.

During his career Ian has initiated many unique Data Library seismic surveys which have led to industry investment and exploration of these areas. He was also responsible for the concept and implementation of the highly successful PROMOTE Licensing mechanism in the UK.
