Within May – June, 2011 all workers of Vyborg Shipyard will be called out of dead time. It became possible thanks to the contract signed on April, 8th this year between Vyborg Shipyard and Arctech Helsinki Shipyard (AHS).
The Vyborg Shipyard will construct blocks for two icebreaking supply-vessels. The amount of works under the contract will allow to load production capacity for 100 %. Blocks for the first vessel should be delivered to the Customer in December 2011 – February, 2012, for the second vessel – in II quarter 2012.
The Vyborg Shipyard acts as the subcontractor in the building contract of two icebreaking supply-vessels between LLC “Sovkomflot” and AHS. Ready vessels should be transferred to LLC “Sovkomflot” in the spring of 2013.
Vyborg Shipyard JSC is one of the largest shipbuilding companies of the North-Western Region of Russia with over 60-years’ experience in shipbuilding. Since the Shipyard was founded (1948) there have been built more than 200 different vessels with deadweight up to 12000 tons, total displacement over 1,300,000 tons.
