The project manager of the South Pars gas field phase 12 at the Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC), Rasoul Fallahnejad, says the phase’s gas pipe laying has been completed.

He went on to say that, laying operation in lines A and B respectively with 149 and 140 kilometers had been completed and the line C with 150 kilometers has progressed by 91 percent but connecting their joints to the phase 12 marine platform and gas processing plants on the shore yet to be done, Iran’s SHANA news agency reported.

Referring to offshore sector’s progress of the phase by 75 percent and onshore sector by 29 percent, he added drilling wells at the phase had progressed by 55 percent.

“ In the event of providing timely financial resources gas transfer to the onshore sector will start next March and early production of the phase in May 2012 “, the official said.

The South Pars gas field phase 12 development is the biggest ongoing project of the Petropars Company.

The production capacity of the project is equal to three conventional South Pars phases. It’s worth mentioning that construction operation of the phase has progressed by 45 percent generally that will be increased to 50 percent by the end of the current Iranian calendar year on 20 March 2012.
