At 10:00 9th April, 2011, the subject vessel departed from CIC Lixin Shipyard after finishing the 17 day’ urgent repair for around 400 square meters shell plates and inner structures. Lixin shipyard’s reasonable project arrangement, earnest working attitude and high quality were highly appraised by the owner’s superintendent.

The bulk carrier is 189.5M long and 30M wide, which is a member of TCT Maritime Co., Ltd. The renewal area was about 12*30m above waterline and 15*2.5m underwater, which reached 208 tons in total. The subject vessel got to Lixin shipyard on 23th March, 2011 and the original appointed steel renewal area was 360m2 above the waterline. Because the vessel had fixed chartering agreement on 11th April, the shipyard had to finish the job within 18 days. While in the process of repairing, the crevasse under waterline was discovered. In sure of the scheduled plan, the shipyard, with the conception “what the owner’s requirement is what we pursue”, overcame the difficulties of undertaking three conversion ships at the same time, many major repairing ships together and lack of the labor force. By means of reasonable project arrangement, effective planning implementation and especially the three days continuing working, the shipyard eventually finished the subject vessel docking in four days and let the vessel sailed on 9th, which was quite beneficial to the ship owner.
