Deltamarin has signed an agreement with the Tianjin Xingang Shipbuilding Heavy Industry Co. for the design of four Handymax bulk carriers to be built for French shipowners Louis Dreyfus Armateurs. This is the first order for Deltamarin’s B.delta37 standard bulk carriers. The overall vessel length will be below 180 metres and the beam 30 metres. The service speed at design draught is 14.0 knots. The deadweight is about 40,000 tonnes at scantling draught.
