Iran, Germany Sign Gas Storage Deal

Natural Gas Storage Company (NGSC) a subsidiary of the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) signed a contract Sunday with a German company on storing gas at Yourtshai gas storage facilities near Varamin south of Tehran.

According to the report of the public relations of the NIGC, the Natural Gas Storage Company signed the contract with a consortium consisting of German and Iranian companies.

The contract was signed on the sidelines of the 16th Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemicals Exhibition that is being held at the permanent international fairground in Tehran.

Based on the contract the German company and NGSC work together on storing know-how in the facility.

It’s worth mentioning that, Yourtashai storage facility is one of the underground gas facilities of Iran with the natural gas storage capacity up to 500 million cubic meters.
