By winning 34 ships, or USD 9.2 billion as of April, Hyundai Heavy achieved 46% of new orders target of USD 19.8 billion in shipbuilding, offshore and plant business.
Hyundai Heavy Industries Co. , Ltd. is a Korea-based company mainly engaged in ship building business. The Company operates six businesses. Its shipbuilding activities include the building of bulk carriers, crude oil carriers, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) carriers and submarines. The offshore and engineering business builds floating units, fixed platforms, pipelines facilities and offshore installations. Its engine and machinery business carries out the manufacture of marine engines, diesel power plants, oil gathering facilities, industrial robots and pumps. The electro electric systems business markets transformers, switchgears, circuit breakers, power electronics and control systems and photovoltaic systems. Its construction equipment business manufactures excavators, wheel loaders, forklifts trucks and skid steer loaders. Its plant business carries out engineering works for power plants and processing equipment. It is also engaged in hotel business through its two subsidiaries.
