RBG has achieved 11 years, and more than 500,000 man hours, without a lost time incident (LTI) on the Triton FPSO in the North Sea.

Contracted by Wood Group, RBG has delivered its expert fabric maintenance support including access solutions and specialist cleaning mechanical services since 2000.

The achievement marks the latest milestone in the company’s REACH safety program which, since its launch in December 2009, has played a major role in reducing Lost Time Incident Frequency (LTIF) by 51% in the UKCS and 38.5% globally. REACH aims to create a stronger, safer culture throughout RBG and in 2011 the programme has expanded to improve the company’s full HSEQ remit.

Bill Marshall , Hess’ offshore installation manager, said: “ RBG has been the contractor of choice on Triton from sail-a-way in 1999 until the present day. Their safety performance has been exemplary to both RBG and Triton. The RBG team employed on Triton has always had an excellent attitude to safety, which has enhanced the continual improvement of Triton’s overall safety performance. ”

Paul Sutherland , RBG operations manager, said: “ Reaching this landmark is a major achievement and is indicative of the excellent safe working practices employed by the Triton offshore team. They have demonstrated outstanding safety performance and embraced the values of REACH. Their dedication to safe working practices is to be commended and I am confident the example they have set will be followed by our colleagues across our global operations. ”
