Fairstar Heavy Transport N.V. (FAIR) has been awarded a contract by ENSCO to transport the ENSCO 105 jack-up drilling rig from Malta to Singapore.
The rig will be floated on to the Fairstar semi-submersible, heavy transport vessel FJORD in Malta’s Grand Harbour on May 3, 2011 and will immediately depart for Singapore via the Cape of Good Hope. The total contract value is USD 3.8 million.
Willem Out, Fairstar Chief Operating Officer, attending the load out in Malta reported: “We are grateful to ENSCO to have this chance to work with them again. FJORD is well suited for this rig and we appreciate the confidence and trust that ENSCO has in Fairstar.”
