DOFCON Purchases Subsea Construction Vessel MV ‘Sarah’ (Norway)

DOFCON, a subsidiary of DOF Subsea AS, has entered into a Sales and Purchase Agreement with the Court of Session, Edinburgh, Scotland, in respect of the vessel MV “SARAH”. DOFCON, a subsidiary of DOF Subsea AS, has entered into a Sales and Purchase Agreement with the Court of Session, Edinburgh, Scotland, in respect of the vessel MV “SARAH”. The Vessel has been subject to a forced sale initiated by its mortgagees.

The Vessel was delivered to its current owners in December 2009, she is of Ulstein SX121 OCV/IRM design, built as a light well intervention and subsea construction vessel. The vessel has a 140 t crane and a module handling tower.

Delivery of the Vessel to DOFCON is planned to take place within the end of May, 2011.

DOF CEO Mons S. Aase says that this vessel fits well into DOF’s plans and strategy to widen its range of activities within the high end offshore and subsea service market.
