BG Group has today announced the appointment of Andrew Gould as a Non-Executive Director with effect from 1st June 2011.
Commenting on the appointment, BG Group Chairman Sir Robert Wilson said: “ Andrew has extensive experience of the international oil and gas industry and a background which is highly relevant to BG Group’s business interests around the world. I am delighted to welcome him to the Board .”
Andrew Gould, 64, has been a director of Schlumberger since 2002 and has been Chairman and Chief Executive Officer since February 2003. Since 2002, he has served as a non-executive director of Rio Tinto plc and Rio Tinto Limited, a mineral resources group. In 2008, he was appointed the senior independent director and chairman of Rio Tinto’s remuneration committee. He is also a member of Rio Tinto’s nominations committee.
